Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Brno Workshop
![]()
„Our GBD Brno Workshop is a two-day event created to support public health, health policy, and epidemiology professionals, researchers, and students from the Czech Republic and Central Europe in deepening their understanding of the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) study. The programme combines expert guidance with hands-on practice to help participants engage with the concepts, methods, and tools that underpin GBD estimates. Throughout the workshop, participants will learn how to explore and interpret data on mortality, non-fatal health outcomes, and risk factors across different populations and settings. The sessions will also highlight how these insights can inform research, policy, and priority setting, with particular relevance to Czechia and the surrounding region. We hope the workshop will create a welcoming space for learning, discussion, and meaningful exchange among those interested in advancing population health through better evidence.“
